The Art of Figural Murals

Crafting Masterpieces

At CSS, the journey of creating figural murals begins with our talented Mural Designers. Each mural is meticulously designed to capture the essence and grandeur of the intended space. Our designers pour their creativity and expertise into every sketch, ensuring that the final piece will be a true work of art.

Once the design is finalized, our skilled Muralists take over. These artists bring the design to life on canvas, using techniques honed over years of practice. Every brushstroke is a testament to their dedication and passion for their craft. The murals are painted with such precision and care that they almost seem to breathe with life.

After the murals are completed, they are carefully shipped to the job site. Our Muralists then install them, ensuring that each piece fits perfectly into its designated space. The result is a breathtaking display of artistry and craftsmanship that enhances the beauty of any interior.

Stencils are indispensable tools in the creation of intricate design work at CSS. These tools allow our artists to achieve a level of detail and precision that would be difficult to replicate freehand. Each stencil is carefully crafted to match the design rendering, ensuring consistency and accuracy in the final product.

Using stencils, our artists can apply elaborate patterns and motifs with remarkable efficiency. The process involves a steady hand and a keen eye for detail, as the colors are applied to the walls by hand. This technique not only speeds up the painting process but also ensures that the designs are flawlessly executed.

The Art of Hand-Painting

Craftsmanship in Every Detail

At CSS, the process of hand-painting stone finishes on plaster is a labor of love. Artists begin by carefully preparing the plaster surface, ensuring it is smooth and ready for the intricate painting process. All stone finishes are hand-panted by CSS Artists using commercial paints.

Using a combination of stencils and freehand techniques, CSS artists will meticulously apply layers of paint to create the illusion of real stone. Each faux grout line is hand-painted, adding to the authenticity and detail of the finish.

The totality of the colors and finishes are specifically designed to accentuate the numerous architectural details within the Basilica, which will actually make the space appear larger.

The result is a stunning, hand-crafted finish that not only looks like real stone but also embodies the dedication and skill of CSS Artists.
